Gibson SG Special Faded Guitar Review :: Electric Guitars Reviews

a combination of looks, functionality, and value

Since the first version of the SG Special Faded in 1961, the Special has represented the combination of looks, functionality and value that is the hallmark of the SG series.
Nothing can match the well-played look and feel of a favorite SG from the 1960s or’70s – except today’s Gibson SG Special Faded. The “Worn” finish make these guitars feel like old friends, well-worn, well-loved musical instruments, while humbucking pickups bring the SG Special to a level of performance the originals never had.
The Special has always represented a combination of looks, functionality, and value, and the new Gibson SG Guitar Special faded maintains this tradition. Under its attractive faded finish, it is the traditional SG featuring mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, tune-o-matic/stopbar bridge, chrome hardware, and 2 alnico 490 pickups magnet humbuckers, and more! Its faded finish gives it the look of an electric guitar that started its rockin' days in the '60s.
