The 1959 STRATOCASTER RELIC LTD guitar (Builder Select - Masterbuilt by Todd Krause) comes in limited run of 100 instruments. This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition beauty has been given the full-on Relic treatment to show years of natural wear and tear—nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty nickel/chrome hardware, distressed aluminum pickguard and aged plastic parts. The premium ash body has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The one-piece maple neck has a C-shaped profile, and a 9-1/2" radius African rosewood fingerboard. Nickel/chrome hardware includes Fender/Gotoh tuners and an American Vintage synchronized tremolo with ashtray cover. Of its 3 custom wound Fat '50s single-coil pickups, the middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity to cancel hum. Includes a custom black hardshell case with an emerald-green crushed velvet interior, a Limited Edition certificate, a DVD interview with master luthier John English, and a Master binder with copies of John English's notes and bio.

Description
The Fender Highway One Stratocaster HSS pays homage to guitarists who emerged in the '80s as hobbyist luthiers, adding aftermarket appointments like black bobbin humbucking pickups and DIY finishes. Two single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets and staggered pole pieces are coupled with a Fender Atomic II humbucker for amazing sonic versatility. Other features include a resonant alder body with a light satin-lacquer finish, large headstock, one-piece maple neck with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and synchronized tremolo.
